Since 1988, I’ve built fences—and relationships—with customers all across Gwinnett County and Metro Atlanta. For decades, my reputation was everything. People called because of what they saw: precision, consistency, and integrity. Many of our customers weren’t just clients—neighbors, friends, and even family of other satisfied customers.
But during the years surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, everything changed.
In 2018, I suffered a stroke that altered my ability to work the way I always had. As my health declined, my personal life faced challenges I didn’t see coming. And when COVID hit in 2020, the supply chain broke down, project timelines became unpredictable, and I struggled to keep up. I tried to carry the business on my back like I always had—but my body, and the times, wouldn’t let me.
Some customers were hurt in that process. Delays, missed follow-ups, and broken communication led to frustration—and in some cases, anger. I take full ownership of those failures. The way I handled things wasn’t right. I let good people down, and for that, I am deeply sorry.
But this isn’t the end of the story.

The turning point came when I realized I could no longer be the butcher, the baker, and the candlestick maker. I needed to evolve—from doing it all myself to building something that would last beyond me.
Today, Exterior Fence Builders is no longer a one-man operation.
We are a team of dedicated professionals who each bring their strengths to the table—from office support to experienced installers, project managers, and customer service personnel. That means we don’t miss calls, ghost clients, or leave jobs hanging. We serve with the same commitment to excellence—but now with structure, support, and sustainability.
